Scruggs Funeral Services Held August 6 Gloria Jean Scruggs, 46, of Groesbeck, passed away Monday, August 1, 2005 in the Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck. She was born June 23, 1959 in Groesbeck. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 6, at First Baptist Church in Groesbeck with Rev. Nathaniel Bedford, Pastor of Lone Star Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed in the Lone Star Cemetery. Survivors include her daughters: Kimi, Demi and Jasmine Scruggs, all of Groesbeck; sisters: Glenda Davis and husband, Michael and Mecheryl Gibbs, all of Groesbeck and Maxine Scruggs and husband, Richard of Lewisville; aunts: Mamie Frazier of Groesbeck, Evelyn Lockhart of Petersburg, VA, Diane Gibson of Mexia, Janice Gibson of Dallas; uncles: Maurice Frazier, Henry Lockhart, Charles Gibson and Wilmer Gibson, Jr.; great-aunt, Geraldine Asberry; special friends: Mary G. Smith, Andy and Kristi Beldin and Lou and Guy Durham; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Ms. Scruggs worked for the Groesbeck ISD for more than 15 years as a custodian and was a member of the Dennis Chapel United Methodist Church of Groesbeck. Pallbearers were Kenneth Gibson, Michael Freeman, Warren Anglin, Maurice Frazier, Jr., Steve Perkins, Wilmer Gibson, Jr., Stanley Gibson, Charles Gibson and Clarence Tatum. Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of arrangements.
