Mrs. Frieda (Goebel) Scruggs
November 20, 1916 - April 10, 2010

Funeral services for Mrs. Frieda Scruggs, 93, of Fairfield, were held on April
13, 2010, at Fairfield Christian Center with Pastor Easton (Buddy) Turner
officiating. Interment followed the service at Antioch Cemetery East of
Fairfield.

Mrs. Scruggs was born on November 20, 1916, in Deer Creek, Oklahoma to John W.
and Elizabeth Fast Goebel. She had been a Freestone County resident since the
early 1950s. She married Clarence Scruggs on May 28, 1954. She was a faithful
member of Fairfield Christian Center. Mrs. Scruggs passed away on Saturday, 
April 10, 2010, in Fairfield.

In addition to her parents, Frieda was preceded in death by three brothers and 
two sisters.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband Clarence Scruggs of Fairfield;
her sons John Scruggs and Jerry Scruggs and wife Cyndi all of Fairfield; her
sister Ruth Stone of Hollywood, Florida; her grandson Neal Scruggs of Fairfield
and four nieces.


Visitation: Monday April 12, 2010, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Capps Memorial Chapel
Funeral Service: Tuesday April 13, 2010, 10:00 am at Fairfield Christian Center
Interment: Tuesday April 13, 2010 at Antioch Cemetery
