Mrs. W. E. Scruggs Rites Held Sunday 
FAIRFIELD. Feb. 9—(Spl)— Funeral services were held at the Antioch church Sunday 
at 9:30 a. m. for Mrs. W. E. Scruggs, aged 71, who was found dead in her bed 
Saturday morning. Death is believed to have occurred about 6 a.m. from natural 
causes. Interment was in the Antioch cemetery with Rrvs. Richard Anderson and 
H. L. McKissack officiating. Pallbearers were Chester Earl Willard, Ray Vestal, 
Leslie Radford and Henry Tisdale. Survivors are three sons, Harvey and Coy Scruggs 
of Fairfield, and Roy Lee Scruggs of California, and one daughter, Mrs. Ruby 
Willard of Fairfield.
