He was born in Fairfield TX, the first born of Ivy Lee Tippens, and Prestell Servance who preceded him in death. He attended Prairie View A&M pursing a degree in Graphic Arts Design. He was employed at Savage Laboratories, as a Dept. Head in the early sixties. His career took him in various areas, as a commercial builder, and entrepreneur. He was a pioneer in the printing and advertising business of his era. He leaves to mourn his wife Shirley Servance, and his 6 children Shawn Servance, Parrish Servance, Van Eric Servance, wife Rubena, Pierre Servance, Devonae Servance, Modero Servance, wife Shanon, all of Houston, seven grandchildren. Also mourning their loss, brothers, Morris Servance, Chester Servance, Preston Servance, Bernie Rae Brooks, Tamara Servance, and mother in law, Devona Stearnes.
