Scion of Wortham Pioneers is Dead
  WORTHAM, Texas, Nov. 30 - Carter Session, 49, father of the Sheriff of 
Freestone County, died Wednesday at his home in Kirven, six miles east of here.
He had been ill for some months. 
   Mr. Session was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Session, a prominent 
pioneer family of the county and State. He was born and reared in Old Woodland,
in early days an outstanding town. Kirven was founded later on the land 
formerly owned by the father, Gus Session. The late Mrs. John L. Wortham of 
Houston was a sister of Mr. Session. Sisters surviving him are Mrs. W. E. 
Bonner of Dallas and Mrs. T. J. Parker of Mexia. The following children are 
survivors: Jim Session of Fairfield and Miss Mattie Session and Bill Session 
of Kirven. Funeral services will be held Thursday.
