Geneva Shankle

Graveside services for Geneva Shankle, 93, were held June 17 at Elmwood Memorial 
Park in Abilene.

Visitation was Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shankle passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Memorial Herman Hospital 
in Houston.

Mrs. Shankle was born in Hamlin and raised in Abilene. She lived in Pasadena 
for 18 years, after which she moved to Teague where she lived for some 25 years. 
For the past five years she has lived in Humble. Mrs. Shankle was an LVN and 
worked for many years at the McGee Nursing Home in Teague.

She is survived by her daughter, LaDonna Buckley and husband Walter Craig of 
Humble; granddaughters, Christy Lynn Buckley of Cleveland, Tx, Sherry Daniels of 
Humble and Theresa Sullivan of Porter; great grandsons, Wayne Allan Sullivan, 
III and Colton Craig Sullivan of Porter; and Carrie Gene Daniels of Porter.

Mrs. Shankle was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Taft Shankle.
