John Hugh Shaw Sr. (Fairfield)  


John Hugh Shaw Sr., 68, of Fairfield , Texas passed away Tuesday February 1, 
2005 at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield. Mr. Shaw was born September 24, 
1936 in Houston, Texas. 

He is survived by his wife Brenda Shaw; sons: John Shaw Jr. and James Shaw; 
daughters: Lisa Mitchell and Susan Hall. His mother Ida Boykin and sister 
Bertha Graham. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Decia, David, Douglas, 
Audra, Anthony, James, Cody, ANgel, Adrian, Ceara, Riley, Phillip, Amanda, 
Virginia, ans Sammual. And his ex-wife and close friend Carolyn Payne. 

He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Shaw. He loved hunting and BBQ. 

Services will be held graveside at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 5, 2005 at 
Boykin Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Bubba Rutherford officiating. Visitation will 
be Friday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, 
Fairfield.
