Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder newspaper April 05, 2008 edition Kae (Moody) Shaw Funeral services were held this month for Kae Moody Shaw, 59, of Kirbyville who died Monday, March 17, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Mrs. Shaw was born in Mexia on March 19, 1948, along with her twin sister Rae, to parents John and Anniece Moody. She attended school in Coolidge through the eighth grade after which she graduated from Kirbyville high school in 1966. She married Perry Shaw on July 30, 1966, and graduated from Lamar University in 1975 with a degree in speech. Mrs. Shaw was employed as a speech therapist for 33 years at Kirbyville Consolidated Independent School District. She was a member of the Parent Teacher Association, Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, and First United Methodist Church of Kirbyville. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, at Central Baptist Church of Kirbyville with Rev. Matt Weaver officiating. Mrs. Shaw is survived by husband Perry Shaw; daughter Leah Wheeler and husband Wayne, all of Kirbyville; son Shelby Shaw and wife Dawn of Huntsville; sister Rae Tidwell and Joy Roberts, both of Kirbyville; brothers Ted Moody of Silsbee and Pat Moody of Weslaco; mother Anniece Patterson Moody of Fairfield; grandchildren Chance, Erin and Jacob Wheeler of Kirbyville and Adam Cade and Taylor Shaw of Huntsville, and one great grandchild, Karson Wheeler of Kirbyville. She is preceded in death by father John Thetford Moody; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John S. Moody and Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Patterson. Arrangements by Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home of Kirbyville.
