Retha Blanch (Young) Sheats

  Retha Blanch (Young) Sheats, 81, A long-time resident of Duncanville, passed
away Sunday, June 11,2006, at Methodist Charlton Medical Center of Dallas.
Mrs. Sheats was born March 6, 1925, in Kirven, Texas, to the late George Franklin
and Etta Lou (Horton) Young. She was known as "Mutt" by her loving family.
  Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006, in the David Clayton &
Sons Funeral Home chapel in Duncanville. The Rev. Jim Benton officiated. Interment 
followed in the Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Aurthur Sheats; 
one daughter, Connie Lynn Murray; one sister, Millie Augusta Cummings; and two 
brothers, Buford Franklin Young and Lillard Lee Young. 
  She is survived by two granddaughters, Lisa Lynn Murray of Duncanville and
Cindy Michelle Murray of Richardson; five great-grand-children, Michael Wayne
Classon, Tristain Ray Classon, Cheyanne Lynn Classon and Octie Elvada Pate. 
four sons-in-law, Junell Pogue, Norma Jean and Richard Smith, Jo Ann and Ramon
Goforth, Peggy and Joe Smith and Marie and Eddie Patton; eight grandchildren; 
10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
