ORA LEE (BRADSHAW) SHIELDS


Mrs. Ora Lee Shields, 97, of Tehuacana, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 
4, 2007, in Mexia, Texas.

Mrs. Shields was born on July 21, 1909, in Alabama to Robert Lee and Sarah Jane
Mooney Bradshaw. Mrs. Shields, a longtime resident of Tehuacana, was retired 
from the Mexia State School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in 
Tehuacana.

Mrs. Shields was preceded in death by her husband Ted Shields in 1984, and by 
her brother and three sisters.

She is survived by her children Frances Johnson and husband Preston of 
Tehuacana, Johnny Shields and wife Pat of Lake Mexia and Brenda Shields of 
Tehuacana. She is also survived by her grandchildren Richard Johnson and wife 
Janis, Janet Bulger and husband Kenny, Karen Tanner and husband Ronnie, Tony
Shields, Lori Shields and Andy Shields, 10 great grandchildren and eight great
great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shields were held on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Blair-
Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel in Mexia. Interment followed the service at 
Tehuacana Cemetery. Rev. Dale McDaniel officiated.

Pallbearers were Richard Johnson, Tony Shields, Andy Shields, Kenny Bulger, 
Kenneth Bulger and Ronnie Tanner.

Honorary pallbearers were Corey Hale, Michael Gragg, Kenneth Shields, Randy 
Myers, Ronnie J. Tanner and Bryan Tanner.

Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home of Mexia was in charge of the arrangements.
