            Death of T. W. Sims
            
  The people of our county generally will be shocked to learn of the sudden death
of ex-County Judge Thomas W. Sims, who died at his residence at Cotton Gin last
Tuesday night. He was in apparent perfect health at supper and had made arrangements
to attend the Reunion here this week. We have not the particulars of his death,
but learn he was taken ill about an hour after supper, and died in five minutes,
before a doctor could get to him. His death was a sad death to many friends here,
where he lived about 15 years. Freestone county had no truer, better man than 
Thomas W. Sims. The bereaved family have the sympathy of hundreds in our county.
Peace to his noble ashes.
