George A. Sims  - Streetman, Texas 
George A. Sims, 86, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne
Mahoney officiating. Burial will be in Cade Cemetery. 

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Jones Sims; two daughters and son-in-laws,
Diane and Wiley Garrett, Athens, and Nicole and Charles Mitchell, Hewitt,
Texas; three nieces, Sarah Sims Chandler, Dallas, Texas, Virginia Sims White,
Waco, Texas, and Patricia Henderson, Fairfield, Texas; three cousins, Aurelia
Jane Moore, San Antonia, Texas, Jackie Tyus, Dallas, Texas, and Edna Grace
Nichols, Webster, Texas; four grandchildren, Jonathan Garrett and Megan Lane
Garrett, both of Athens, Maurie Mitchell and Charles Sim Mitchell, both of
Hewitt, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Sutton Garrett, Regan Garrett and
Keaton Garrett. 

Pallbearers will be Theo Smith, John B. Massey, Billy Coker, Tommy Bryant,
Harris Wilson Milner and Melvin Hedderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kit
McConnico, Jimmy Ross Young, Calvert Allen Carroll, James C. Cooper and Danny
Richardson. 

Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Corsicana, Texas, is in charge of the
arrangements.
