Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Linda Estelle Sims (October 24, 1940 - February 27, 2007) Linda Estelle Sims Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Estelle Gilliam Sims, 66, of Mexia will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007 in Calvary Baptist Church in Mexia. Rev. Rick Gray will officiate with interment to follow in Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Blair – Stubbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Sims was born October 24, 1940 in Freestone, Texas and passed away at her residence in Mexia on February 27, 2007. She was a cashier for Centex Citizens Credit Union for 22 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mexia. Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband, William A. Sims of Mexia, Son, Larry Wayne Sims of Elgin, daughter, Susan Jill Sims Chilcoat of Mexia, grandchildren, Brianna Michelle Sims, Jeremy Todd Sims, Sara Beth Chilcoat, Ryan Cole Chilcoat and Sydney Anne Chilcoat; great grandchildren, Maleah Joy Sims and Alexa Marian Sims; brother, James Gilliam of Teague and sister, Grace Holmes of Teague. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Arthur and Alice Gregory Gilliam, two brothers, Haskell Gilliam and Robert Gilliam and a sister, Gladys Patrick. Pallbearers will be Dennis Campbell, Scott Holmes, Brent Holmes, Todd Ward, Cody Campbell and Joshua Campbell.
