She was born October 23, 1909 in Freestone County, Texas to the late Dora Bell
Smith and R. G. Christian.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Melvin R. Smith; sisters, Nettie
Barger and Lilie Mae Comber; brothers, Clifton, Gilbert, Lewis, and Clyde
Wilson Christian; son, Robert Alfred Smith and daughter Helen Frances Smith.
