Robby Smith

Funeral services were held yesterday for Robby Smith, 59, of Teague who died Thursday, 
Aug. 7, at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield.

Mr. Smith was born on March 17, 1949. He was raised in Teague and graduated from 
Teague high school in 1968.

He was an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors. Mr. Smith frequently barbecued 
entering numerous cook-offs throughout the years.

He was employed with the Texas Department of Corrections until his recent retirement.
Services were at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague 
with Rev. Jeff Powers officiating.

Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Smith is survived by his nephew Kevin Pringle of Trinity; niece Robin Hoot and 
husband Jeff of Tomball, great-nephews Patrick and Shayne Pringle; and many friends.
Arrangements were made by Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
