Jimmy Ray Smith

Funeral services were held Saturday for Jimmy Ray Smith, 65, of Buffalo who died 
Wednesday, Dec. 10, in Palestine.

Mr. Smith was born in Houston on Sept. 19, 1943.

He worked as an oil field communication contractor.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in 
Buffalo with Phil Smith officiating.

Burial followed at Brookside Cemetery with Garrett Smith, Clayton Smith, Brendon 
Smith, Jacob DeBorde, Joshua Bowman and Kyler Bell serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers included members of the Jewett Masonic Lodge and his fellow 
Masonic brothers.

Mr. Smith is survived by his sons, Phil Smith and wife Michelle of Buffalo and 
Pat Smith and wife Jaime of Buffalo; daughter, Pam Smith Bowman and husband Eric 
of Birmingham, Alabama; brothers, L.T. Pierce and wife Yolanda of Troup, Bob 
Smith and wife Dianne of Smithville, and Charlie Smith and wife Dian of 
Cleveland; sister, Margie Johnson of Whitehouse, Tennessee; and nine 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Faye Smith and his son, Payton 
Smith.

Arrangements were made by Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo.
