Nathaniel James Smith

Funeral services were held Saturday for Nathaniel James Smith, 58, of Chandler 
who died Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Mr. Smith was born in Mexia on May 2, 1950, to Nathaniel Smith and Geraldine 
Shaw.

He graduated from Dunbar high school and later moved to Chandler where he worked 
as a barber.

Services were held Saturday at the Faith Tabernacle Choir of Deliverance in 
Chandler with Malachi Micheaux and Robert James officiating.

Interment followed at Rocky Branch Cemetery in Wortham.

Mr. Smith is survived by his siblings, Helen Phillips and husband Wardell of 
Teague, Valerie Bush and husband Paul of Dallas, Monica, Dwayne, and Zane Smith, 
all of Dallas; stepmother, Jodie Ester Smith of Dallas; and aunt, Lillian Smith 
of Mexia.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nathaniel Smith and Geraldine Shaw; and 
stepsister, Unice Smith.

Arrangements were made by Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague.
