Mr. Allen Smith

  Funeral Services for Mr. Allen Smith, 63, were held on Saturday, April 19, 
2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Pastor Paul Nuemann 
officiated. Interment followed the services at George Cemetery in the Clay Hill 
Community.
  Visitation was on Friday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 
at the funeral home.
  Mr. Smith passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at his residence in Teague. 
He was born in Teague and was a lifelong resident. He married Wanda George and 
together they adopted a son, Jason. 
  Mr. Smith worked for almost thirty-five years in the mine at Big Brown in 
Fairfield as a heavy equipment mechanic. In 2004, he met Marcia and they were 
married on February 28, 2006. 
  Mr. Smith enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, shooting his fire arms, and 
motor biking. He was very involved in the Patriot Guard Riders and became a Ride 
Captain for the East Texas Unit. Mr. Smith attended the Trinity Lutheran Church 
in Fairfield.
  He is survived by his wife of over eight years, Marcia Smith of Teague; one 
son, Jason Smith & wife Staci of Clay Hill; one step-daughter, Clarissa Patton & 
fiancé Herman White of Teague; one step-son, Brady Patton & fiancé Anna of Eagan, 
MN; five grandchildren, Trey White, Victoria Danielle Smith, Terrance Jason 
Smith Jr., Taylor Dominique Smith, and Blake Matsche-Smith; other relatives & 
friends. 
  Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Allen & Laura Smith.
