Freestone County, Texas Obits Fairfield Recorder newspaper Thursday June 1, 2006 Kaye Lynn Sneed Funeral services were held for Kaye Lynn Sneed, age 63 of Teague, on May 25 at St. James United Methodist Church in Tyler. Rev. Reginald Russell and Rev. Roger Hunter officiated. Mrs. Sneed died May 21 at Providence Medical Center in Waco. She was born November 7, 1942 in Fort Smith, Arkansas; she had also lived in New York. Mrs. Sneed had been a beautician in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and was a retired clerk for Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York; she was a member of St. James United Methodist in Teague and was president of St. James United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the church's choir and of Magnolia Burial Association. Mrs. Sneed is survived by her husband Robert Sneed of Teague; sons Edgar James, Jr. and wife Mary of West Hempstead, New York and Rico Brown of Fort Smith, Arkansas and daughters Pamela James of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Ark and Kimberly Vann of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by her grandson Edgar James III of West Hempstead, New York; granddaughters Kayla James of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Brittany Brown of Wichita, Kansas; sisters Barbara Davis of Southfield, Michigan and Wanda Cole of Fort Smith, Arkansas and sister-in-law Marshall Coleman. Casket bearers were Howard McWilliams, Franklin Sloan, Charlie Ray Levels, Claude Philpott, Jerry Burke, Billy Sneed, Roger Nealy, Frank McMillian, Eddie Ray Branch, Robert Henderson and Eddie Ray Branch.
