Physician at Wortham For 44 Years Is Dead

  WORTHAM - Freestone Co., Texas
June 26 - Dr. K. W. Sneed, 63, pioneer physician, died at his home Sunday 
morning.  He had been in failing health for several years.
  Born in Freestone County of a family of doctors, he spent all of his life in
this vicinity, having practiced in Wortham forty-five years.  He was a member
of the State Medical Society, the American Medical Society, the Southern 
Medical Association, and an honorary member of the Navarro County Medical 
Society, and a member of the Central Presbyterian Church.  He was graduated
from Tulane University.
  Funeral services will be held at the home Monday at 4 p.m.  Dr. Sneed is 
survived by his wife, formerly Miss Mary Stubbs; one son, Dr. W. R. Sneed of
Corsicana, and one sister, Mrs. Mattie Oliver of Buffalo.
