Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder December 09, 2007 Billy Sneed Funeral services were held Monday at St. James United Methodist Church of Teague for Billy Sneed, 79, of Teague who died Wednesday, Nov. 28. Mr. Sneed was born July 13, 1928, in Freestone county to Hollis Sneed and Ivia Ann Brinkley. He was employed as a longshoreman for Brown and Root and as a Teague Independent School District bus driver, and was a foster grandparent volunteer at Mexia State School. Services were conducted at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joshua Field, pastor of St. James, and former St. James pastor the Rev. Roger Hunter officiating. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery in Teague. Pallbearers were R.B. Branch, Glenn Price, Ray Bostic, Joe Earl Branch, Marcus Mason, Michael Carter, Loyd Burks and Reggie Echols. Honorary pallbearers were Robert (Dude) Sneed, Franklin Sloan, Mike Henderson, Ronald Jones, Willie West, Roger Nealy, Gerald Burke and Earnest Busby. Mr. Sneed is survived by two sons, Willie Sneed and wife Theresa of Hillsboro and Billy (Chris) Sneed of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren, Cassandra, Arrick, Brittany and Brianna; a great-grandchild, Kylan; sisters-in-law, cousins and other relatives. A luncheon for the family was held at the St. James Fellowship Hall after their return from the cemetery. Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of the arrangements.
