JOHN W. SNEED 

Funeral services for Mr. John W. Sneed, 61, were held on Wednesday, December 27,
2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. 

Interment was held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Roscoe 
Cemetery in Roscoe, TX. 

Mr. Sneed passed away on Friday, December 22, 2006 in East Texas Medical Center 
in Fairfield from brain cancer. He was diagnosed with his cancer on November 1, 
2006. 

Mr. Sneed was born and raised in Ft. Worth and graduated from Richland High 
School with the class of 1964. He attended college at Texas Tech University in 
Lubbock where he received Bachelors of Science Degree. He worked for many years 
at his family's Jewelry store, Sneed Jewelers, in Ft. Worth before going back 
to school and becoming a Respiratory Therapist in 1995 at the age of fifty. He 
worked as a Respiratory Therapist for Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, East 
Texas Medical Center (Cardiac Rehab) in Fairfield, and was presently employed 
with John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth. 

He married Doris Sneed on February 23, 1977 in Vail, Colorado and shared almost
thirty years together. He loved his horses, cows, dogs, & cats. He especially 
loved to help his grandson, "The Chan Man", calf rope. Mr. Sneed is survived by
his wife, Doris Sneed of Teague; two daughters, Lisa Baggerly & husband Scott 
of Teague and Kelly Mazza & husband Mike of Ft. Worth; three grandchildren, 
Chandler Baggerly of Teague, Tory and Tony Mazza both of Ft. Worth; his mother,
Frances Sneed of Ft. Worth; one sister, Phoebe Grace & husband John of Ft. 
Worth; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded 
in death by his father, Tom Sneed and one sister, Mable. 

Bowers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
