Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Corsicana Daily Sun - Mar 2, 2004 edition Annie Jewell Solomon Annie Jewell Solomon, 90, of Corsicana passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Lifecare Hospital of North Texas. Quiet hour will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Scott Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Streetman, the Rev. Joe Hubbard, pastor, with Bishop John Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Streetman. Pallbearers will be grandsons Kenneth Wayne Vaughn, Glen Dell Solomon, Vernon Edom Jr., Dion Andra Edom, Edward C. Solomon and Tyrone Detron Turner. Mrs. Solomon was born April 1, 1913, in Streetman. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Streetman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Solomon Sr.; 10 children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Bessie Evans and Earl Lee Haynes; one brother, Walter Mays Garnett; one niece, Eddie B. Moss; and nephew, Eddie Lee Carter. Survivors include her six sons, Willie James Solomon (Annie D.), Cornel Solomon, Clarence Earl Solomon (Hattie), Billy Coy Solomon (Hazel), and Mack Clinton Solomon, all of Corsicana, and Roy Lee Solomon of Fort Worth; three daughters, Ollie Mae Baker, Frankie Lee Odom and Prezell Solomon, all of Corsicana; one goddaughter, Erma Jean Rubell Gregg of Corsicana; two sisters, Lilac Bell Browers and Edna Marie Keaton, both of Dallas; 29 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren, Linda Tate and Stacy Mims, both of Fort Worth, and Patricia Quinn of Fairfield; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
