James W. Sowders

James W. Sowders, 57, of Marlin, entered into rest on Thursday, June 15, 2006. 
Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan 
Six officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

James was born on November 9, 1948 in Falls County to Walter and Nettie 
Hartman Sowders. He was a life long resident of the Marlin area and at the 
time of his death employed by the Calpine Corp. in Fairfield, Texas as an 
electrician. He was a member of the Trinity Memorial Baptist Church in Marlin 
and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved to fish and watch his children 
play baseball. James will missed by all who knew him and by all whose lives he
touched.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Sowders of Marlin; Sons, Dustin Ray Sowders, 
Dakoka James Sowders, Drake Colby Sowders, all of Marlin; daughter, Darrah Jo
Sowders of Marlin; mother, Nettie Sowders of Marlin; brother, Edward Sowders
of Marlin.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Lewis, Rene Pena, Dale Hammans, Robert Latham, Kelly 
Ballew and Jim Webb.

Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers at Calpine Corp.

Adams Funeral Home in Marlin is in charge of arrangements.
