Melvin Kenneth "Mushy" Sowers

Memorial services were held last weekend for Melvin Kenneth "Mushy" Sowers, 62, who 
died Tuesday, July 8, at the VA Hospital in Temple.

Mr. Sowers was born Oct. 7, 1945.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, at the VFW in Mexia with Rev. James 
Murphy officiating.

Mr. Sowers is survived by his daughter Lezlie Nixon and husband Leonard of Henrietta; 
son Joshua Sowers and wife Kristin of Round Rock; sister Dianna Sowers of Taylor; as 
well as 8 grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Providence Funeral Home of Taylor.
