The Teague Chronicle - Oct. 25, 1918 Death of Mrs. S.E. Piercy Mrs. S.E. Piercy was 57 years Sept. 22 died at her home on 8th Ave. at 10 pm o'clock Sat. of pneumonia which followed an attack of Spanish influenza. She had been living in Teague since the founding of the town and her husband died here several years ago. Two of the children had attacks of influenza while the mother was suffering from the malady and it is probable the exposure and exhaustion was the cause of a complication of pneumonia. Interment was made in the city cemetery Sun. morning. Mrs. Piercy is survived by four children, James and Sydney Piercy, Mrs. Fred Looney and Miss Fluradelle Piercy. All of whom live in Teague except Mrs. Looney who recently moved to Oklahoma. She is also survived by a brother and sister J. C. T. Hendrix, her twin brother, and Mrs. S. F. Gault, her sister.
