Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mexia Daily News - May 18, 2006 edition Alma C. (Kiser) Spivey Funeral services for Mrs. Alma C. Spivey, 84, of Mexia, were held this morning (Thursday), May 18, 2006, in Mexia First Baptist Church, 304 North Denton. The Rev. Patricia Horn officiated, and the eulogist was Evangelist Myron Golden. Burial was in Wortham Cemetery, under direction of Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home of Teague. Mrs. Spivey, a member of Mexia First Baptist Church, is a retired employee of Mexia State School, and also attended Paul Quinn College in Waco. She died Sunday, May 14, 2006, in Parkview Regional Hospital, and was born at Richland on Dec. 31, 1921. Surviving are a daughter, Patsy Williams of Mexia; two sisters, Nina Lincoln of Fresno, California and Thelma Moore of Dallas; a brother, Bo Kiser of Lockney; 18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; a special grandson, Reginald Spivey; a special great-granddaughter and caretaker, Franchesska Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; a special niece, Diane Bryant; and two daughters-in-law, Portia Spivey and Maxine Spivey. Pallbearers were Joe King, Abraham Williams, John Williams, Leon Gray, Adrian Mack and Reggie Mack.
