Larry Spruiell


LARRY SPRUIELL
Funeral services for Mr. Larry Spruiell, 63, were held Thursday, November 19, at 
Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Darrel Beggs officiated. Interment followed 
the services at Wilson Chapel Cemetery near Donie with a U.S. Air Force Honor 
Guard and the Patriot Guard providing an escort to the cemetery.

Visitation was Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Spruiell passed away November 17, 2009 at the V. A. Hospital in Temple. He had 
a fantastic sense of humor, was a real people person, was a devoted son, and
friend to all.

He graduated from Teague High School in 1965 then served in the United States Air 
Force during Vietnam. He was a member of the Cotton Gin Masonic Lodge #154 and was
a Baptist by faith. Mr. Spruiell will be especially missed at Daniel's Store on 
4th Ave.

He is survived by his first cousins, Glenice Spruiell Ashley and husband Jim of 
Donie, Donald Ross Walker of Tyler, and Janet Hamilton of Midland; cousins, Bobby
DuBois of Donie and Teri Hanrahan and husband Tom of Teague; numerous other 
cousins; special friends, Joe Roger and Margie Alderman; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Max and Zelda Spruiell.
