FAIRFIELD—(Spl.)—Funeral services were held for William Henry Spurgeon, 81, April 
13, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Kirvin. The Rev. J. M. Gardner officiated.

Mr. Spurgeon was born June 26, 1887 in Rice and died April 11 in Fairfield.

Survivors include two sons, U. V. Spurgeon of Galena Park and E. L. Spurgeon of 
Kirvin; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Richardson of Kirvin and Mrs. Herman Harryman 
of Duncanville; one sister, Mrs. Rufas Prestidge at Talco; two brothers, J. R. 
Spurgeon of Rice and Ed Patterson of Ennis; five grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
