Edna Faye (Smith) Sterling

WORTHAM - Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Faye Sterling, 69, of Wortham, will be
conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in First Baptist Church. Officiating
will be the Rev. Steven Schulte, pastor. Burial will be in Wortham Cemetery,
under direction of Porter Chapel-Wortham.

Mrs. Sterling, born in Mexia on Aug. 29, 1934, died Tuesday at her residence.
She was a member of South McKinney Street Baptist Church of Mexia, and was a
retired Certified Nurses Aide.

Family visitation is scheduled for this evening from 6 until 9 o'clock in
Porter Chapel-Wortham.

Mrs. Sterling was preceded in death by her father, William Patrick Smith, and
by an infant son, Gary Wayne Sterling.

Surviving are her husband, Sammie Clayton Sterling of Wortham; five daughters -
Brenda Hargrove and husband Jim of Wortham, Sandra Robinson and husband Paul of
Streetman, Vickie Beene and husband Rusty of Freestone, Tx., Kim Beene and
husband Sam of Wortham, and Lisa McAdams of Wortham; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Alton and Gina Sterling of Robinson, Ronnie and Donna
Sterling of Wortham; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
