Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Geneva Roberts Stone and Marvin Reese Stone Geneva Roberts Stone, 73, and Marvin Reese Stone, 78, of Kirvin, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013. Services were held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Bob Shirley of the First Baptist Church of Normangee officiating. Interment followed at St. Elmo Cemetery near Streetman. Military honors for Mr. Stone were provided by Capps Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Stone was born November 12, 1939 in Rotan, TX; to parents Everett Travis Roberts, Sr. and Willie Allene Carroll Roberts. Marvin was born January 1, 1935 in Kosse, TX; to parents George Cousins Stone and Mamie Elizabeth Davis Stone. Marvin and Geneva had been Freestone County residents since 1994 having moved from Robertson County. They married on October 29, 1950 in Texas City. They owned and operated M.R.’s Auto Ranch near Richland Chambers Reservoir for a number of years. They were current members of First Baptist Church of Normangee and former members of New Hope Baptist Church near Streetman. Marvin served in Germany during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army. Geneva loved to read books. She and Marvin loved to travel and visit Colorado and were known for their love of people and their happiness. Geneva was a good caretaker of Marvin and Marvin was the best daddy in the world. In addition to their parents Geneva was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Roberts. Marvin was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Clyde and Charles Stone. Left to cherish their memory is their daughter, Terri Reichert and husband Richard of Kirvin; three grandchildren, Danny Reichert of Marlin; James Reichert and wife Billie of Bonham; Ronnie Reichert and wife Debbi of Streetman; seven great-grandchildren, Joseph Reichert; Clayton Reichert; Jodi Reichert; Zach Shrum; Danielle Reichert; Santana Sianez; Reese Reichert. Four brothers survive Geneva, Everett Travis Roberts, Jr. of Ennis; Mac Roberts and wife Lurlene of Dallas; Wallace Roberts and wife Joy of Ennis; Donnie Roberts and wife Glenda of Dallas; one sister-in-law, Becky Roberts of Ennis. Marvin is survived by a twin sister, Margie Anderson of Austin. Pallbearers were Danny, James, Joseph, Clayton, Ronnie Reichert and Zach Shrum.
