Sammie "Edith" Stroade

Funeral services for Sammie Edith Stroade, 88, were held Friday, June 23 at
Memorial Funeral Home Chapel of Buffalo.

Pastor Dale Osteen officated, and burial was held in the Siloam Cemetery.

Mrs. Stroade was born, Friday, Dec. 21, 1917 in fort Worth to Roberta
Murphy Gordon and Samuel Gordon.  She died Tuesday, June 20, in Buffalo.

A member of the First Baptist Church Buffalo and the Sunshine Sunday School 
class, Mrs. Stroade owned Buffalo Insurance Agency before retiring to become
a fulltime housewife.

Mrs. Stroade was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth F. Stroade, son 
Sam Gordon Stroade, her parents, and one sister, Mollie Gordon.

She is survived by son Kenneth S. Stroade and wife Kay of Buffalo,
five grandchildren, Paul Stroade of Conroe, Randy Stroade of Teague, Kasey and
Daniel Stroade, both of Fairfield, and Anna Marie Stroade of Houston, and three
great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Paul Stroade, Randy Stroade, Daniel Stroade, Andy Talbot, 
Foe Ford, and Glen Castles.

Arrangements were handled by Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo.
