Zack Allen Stroud

Funeral services were held last week for Zack Allen Stroud, 91, of Fairfield who
died Sunday, April 6, in Tyler.

Mr. Stroud was born in the Mills community on August 10, 1916 to parents Asa 
Allen and Elizabeth Belle Stroud.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, at the First Baptist Church 
of Fairfield where Mr. Stroud was a lifelong member. Officiating the services
was Dr. R. Byron Orand. Burial followed at Fairfield Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Spencer Stroud, Dwaine Stroud, Zack Stroud, Ben Stroud, Paul 
Stroud and Britt Stroud.

Mr. Stroud is survived by sons John Stroud and wife Verla of Tyler, Hugh Stroud
and wife Carolyn of Graham, Layton Stroud and wife Nancy of Denton and Sid 
Stroud and wife Jill of Allen; grandchildren Zack Stroud and wife Lisa of Mount
Juliette, Tennessee, Suzanne Sanson of Whitehouse, Dewaine Stroud and wife
Connie of Irmo, South Carolina, Paul Stroud of Katy, Benjamin Stroud of 
Carrollton, Zack Steele of Austin, Sara Steele of Odessa, Dr. Britt Stroud and 
wife Amy of Denver, Colorado, Matt Stroud of Fullerton, California, Spencer 
Stroud of Dallas, and Bethany and Meredith Stroud, both of Allen; and great 
grandchildren Brittany and Jordan Stroud, Kaitlin and Cameron Sanson, Nathan, 
Joshua and Timothy John Stroud, and Ella and Drake Stroud.

He is preceded in death by wife Verna Mae Stroud and parents Asa and Elizabeth 
Stroud.
