Dr. Southerland Found Dead
Cade, Texas  July 25, 1892(sic)


Dr. Thos. A. Southerland was found dead in his office last Saturday evening by
Tom Hood, who went to his office, partly on business and partly in search of 
him. The alarm was given and soon a large crowd was present. Your correspondent 
will not say what was the cause of the death as there is a division of opinion
in regards to it; but will say that he had probably been dead some 12 or 18 
hours when found. A coffin was immediately ordered and Sunday morning he was 
laid to rest in the County Line Cemetery. Peace to his ashes.
