Services will be Monday, September 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mexia with Father Carlo Benjamin P. Magnaye, MF officiating. Burial will follow at Wortham Cemetery. Family visitation will be Sunday evening 6-9 p.m. at Porter Chapel Wortham with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.. Fay was born November 13, 1944 to Luther E. and Effie Lucy Davis in Beaumont, Texas. On June 22, 1963 she married John Edgar Tacker, Jr. Fay was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was an avid hunter, excellent cook and an amazing party planner. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Effie Lucy Davis; father-in-law, John Edgar “Ed” Tacker and brother-in-law, Jay McCullough. Fay is survived by her husband, John Edgar Tacker, Jr. of Wortham; father, Luther Edison Davis of Wortham; daughters, Tiffany Tacker-Collins of Cedar Park and Jill Ferguson & husband, Kenneth of Fairfield; son, Bud Tacker & wife, Jody of Wortham; sister, Mondel Kenney & husband, James of Onalaska; brother, Ronald Davis & wife, Kathy of Austrailia; grandchildren, Kennedy Collins, Cally Ann Hardwick, Kelsea Ferguson, Trent Ferguson, Melodie Ferguson and Jackson Tacker; mother-in-law, Thera Mae Tacker; sisters-in-law, Betty McCullough, Cathy Hickman & husband David and a host of other close friends and family. Mrs. Tacker was born Nov. 13, 1944, to Luther E. and Effie Lucy Davis in Beaumont and married John Edgar Tacker, Jr., on June 22, 1963. She was a homemaker, avid hunter and faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Services were conducted at 10 a.m. with Father Carlo Benjamine P. Magnaye officiating. Burial was at Wortham Cemetery.
