Aged Citizen of County Dies
Death Comes to W. R. Talley At Kirven.

  Mrs. R. M. Edwards is reported improving following an operation in Teague, Monday.
W. R. Talley, aged 80 years, died in Kirven Tuesday, following an illness of flu-
pneumonia. Burial was in the Fairfield cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
  Mr. Talley is survived by his wife, four children and three brothers, his 
children being Mrs. Sue McCormick of Wortham, Mrs. C. P. Harris of Kirven, Mrs. 
Joe Roller of Fairfield and Ernest Talley of Teague. His brothers are Tom P. 
Talley, Haney Talley and Si Talley.
  Mr. Talley located in Fairfield forty years ago, and managed the brick hotel,
known as the Roller hotel. About seventeen years ago he moved to Wortham where he
resided until recently, when, on account of feeble health of himself and wife, 
they moved to Kirven and lived with Mrs. Talley’s daughter, Mrs. Bob Whitesides.
