Mexia Daily News - Sep. 28, 2004 edition Thomas Roy Taylor Graveside services for Thomas Roy Taylor, 73, of Mexia, will be this afternoon at 2 o'clock in Salem Cemetery (Freestone County). The Rev. Rick Gray, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Taylor, who had resided in Mexia since 1992, was a Painter, and served in the U.S. Army, in Korea. He was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Corsicana, and died Monday in Mexia Nursing Home. Preceding Mr. Taylor in death were his sister, Lorene Samford, and two brothers - Gerald G. Taylor and Crayton Taylor. Surviving are a son, Gerald R. Taylor of Fairfield; grandchildren - Jennifer Taylor, Christi Taylor, Greg Reyes and Adrionna Reyes; a brother, Ray Taylolr of Mexia, and a sister, Dorothy Auld of Mexia. Pallbearers are Mickey Cook, Romie Ball, Lonnie Beldin, Danny Tubb, Cecil Sandifer, Richard Sandifer and Donald Dockery.
