John William Taylor

Funeral services for John William Taylor, 86, of Mexia will be held at 3 p.m.
today (Tuesday, April 22, 2008) in Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Mexia. The Reverend
Rick Gray, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Mexia will officiate, with 
interment to follow in the Post Oak Cemetery in Donie.

Mr. Taylor was born January 1, 1922 in Donie to James Harmon and Viva (Kennedy)
Taylor and passed away April 19, 2008 in a local hospital. He was a 1940 
graduate of Mexia High School, retired from Brown & Root after 20 years, served
in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the Calvary Baptist
Church.

He is survived by his sisters, Eunice Lane and Mary A. Shamblin, both of Mexia.
He was also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents and another sister, Eugenia 
Campbell.

Pallbearers are James David Shamblin, Sonny Lane, Leslie Campbell, Jerry Zavala,
Keith Guthrie and John Jones.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
