Freda Lee Teer - 05/02/07

Freda Lee Teer, 74 of Kerens, passed away Saturday morning April 28, 2007 at 
her residence. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Griffin-
Roughton Funeral Chapel with Brother Tom Hart officiating. The family will 
receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time in the chapel.

Freda was born on March 13, 1933, in Cawker City, Kan., to Fred and Amy 
Madison. She was a longtime employee of Humbert’s Hickory House and Bill’s 
Fried Chicken.

She was preceded in death by her three daughters, Lynn Awalt, Jaynece Awalt 
and Claudette Hopkins; and sisters, Ruth Awalt and Ann Bottenberg.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years Bobby Teer; daughter and son-in-
law, Cindy and Larry Anderton of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and 
Freda Awalt of Rochester N.H.; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Melody and Don 
Allen of Wortham; stepson, Mike Teer of Corsicana; sister-in-law, Maureen 
Awalt; grandsons and their wives, Chase and Alyson Tunnell of Chattanooga, 
Tenn., Lennie and LeAnne Tunnell of Van, Coy and Holly Anderton of Corsicana,
and Scott Anderton of Corsicana; granddaughter, Cerra Hopkins; step-
granddaughter, Jill Hill; step-granddaughter and husband, Heather and Jason 
Miller; step-grandson, B.J. Allen; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, 
Dorothy Hilscher, Margaret (Pete) Rogers, Nita Johnson and husband Jake; and 
numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to thank Family First Hospice of Ennis and staff: 
Brandy, Nickie, Donna, Rick and Chaplain Dan Rogers.
