Mr. D. C. Tharp, who recently moved here from Huntsville is right sick at his 
home on Main St. and 8th Avenue.

D. C. THARP DEAD
Last Tuesday morning at an early hour the death angel visited the family home 
on 8th and Main and accompanied the spirit of Mr. D. C. Tharp across the chilly 
waters of death. 

Mr. Tharp came from Huntsville to Teague, had only been about two weeks. He had 
been in very poor health for sometime, being a sufferer of Bright's disease.

He was 52 years of age and had located here with the intention of making Teague 
his future home.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, under which order he was laid to rest 
late Tuesday evening in the Teague cemetery.

The people regret the death of Mr. Tharp very much and are in sympathy with the 
bereaved.
