Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Wilma (Marlow) Thompson Wilma Thompson, 81, of Dew, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at her residence. Services were held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew with Apostle Travis N. (Bo) Davis officiating. Interment followed at Dew Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born July 1, 1931 in Oklahoma; to parents Herbert L. and Esther Armstrong Marlow. From 1973 until 2003 she was the owner of Star T General Contractors, Inc. of Manvel, Texas. She had been a Freestone County resident since October, 1993 moving from Manvel. She was a former member of the Lanely Ladies Kitchen Band. As a member of Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew she was very involved in all church activities and especially enjoyed after church lunches with all of her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, J. C. and Donald Marlow. Pallbearers were Ray Sanders, Timothy Thompson, Brad Thompson, Kenny Young, David Fowler and Brandon Glass. Honorary pallbearer was Donald Marlow, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Donna Finley and husband Bill of Elk Falls, KS; Bobby Thompson and wife Rene’ of Lanely; Diane Jones and husband Walter of Alvin, TX; one sister, June Robinson of Porter, TX; five grandchildren, Lacy Cooper, Teri Helt, Timothy Thompson, Brad Thompson and Vickie Sue Woodard; seven great-grandchildren.
