Ricky Ray Thompson

Funeral services were held Wednesday for Ricky Ray Thompson, 53, of Fairfield, 
who died June 28 in Fairfield.

Donny Chamberlain and Brian Faulkner officiated at the service, held at Croley 
Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. Burial followed at Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur 
county.

Mr. Thompson was born Nov. 28, 1955 in Gilmer to Gilbert R. "Toad" and Jean 
Kennimer Thompson. He graduated from Harmony high school and was a supervisor for 
EFC Valve Company.

He is survived by his mother Jean Thompson of Gilmer, son and daughter-in-law 
Carlos and Tiffany Johnston of Gilmer, brother and sister-in-law Rex and Carol 
Thompson of McAlester, Okla.,

Sister and brother-in-law Gina and David Esters of Center, grandchildren Karlye 
and Kahlyen Johnston, nieces Heather Rollins and Lyndsie Thompson, nephew Cooper 
Thompson and great niece Georgia Rollins.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert R. "Toad" Thompson in 
2002.

Visitation was Tuesday at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
