Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder, Fairfield Texas Friday, September 29, 1925 TEAGUE CHILD LOOSES LIFE UNDER CAR WHEELS Teague citizens today are lending their sympathy to Mr. & Mrs. W. K. THOMPSON, well known citizens. The results of one of the most tragic traffic accidents known here. Little Geraldine THOMPSON, four year old child of Mr. & Mrs. THOMPSON, while riding a tricycle with her two year old brother, W. K. Jr., rode down the walk of her home directly in the path of an automobile which was being backed from a garage by Miss Josephine HILDEBRAND, a neighbor and was crushed beneath the wheels. Her little brother escapping with only bruises. The accident happened late Monday and Tuesday night after 10:00 p.m. the baby had died. Hearing the tragic results of the accident Miss HILDEBRAND is reported prostrate and under the care of physicians. She was looking along one side of the car as she was backing out of the garage and was unable to see the approaching child. Interment will be in Corsicana. Mr.THOMPSON is a well known buisness man here. A wheel of the tricycle had buried itself into the body of the little tot and it is this injury which is said to have caused the death. Local physicians and Dr. UNDERWOOD of Dallas were called. Special Mexia News
