MURRELL H. THORNTON

  Funeral services for Murrell H. Thornton, 67, will be Saturday at 1 a.m., in 
the First Presbyterian Church will Reverend Donald W. Ruth, pastor, officiating.
  The body will lie in state at the Lescher Funeral Home until the hour of the 
service. The casket will remain closed at the service.
  Burial will be in Fairfield, Texas.
  Thornton died Wednesday morning. He was a former State Senator and State 
Representative and was in the grain and hay business at the time of his death. 
  He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church and Muskogee Lodge No. 28 AF&AM, 
Bedouin Shrine and Shrine Band.
  Survivors include his wife, Sarah, and a daughter, Mary Sue, at 2610 Arline, 
a sister, Mrs. Gladys Kendrick, Pryor, and a niece, Mrs. Chal Wheeler Muskogee.
