The Fairfield Recorder Thursday June 15, 2006 edition Roy Herman Timmes Funeral services were held for Roy Herman Timmes on Friday at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Teague, Benny Mize and Mark Munson officiating. Interment followed at Sardis Cemetery. He died June 6 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Mr. Timmes was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, a painter and carpenter. He had lived in Donie for the past seven years. Mr. Timmes was born May 4, 1961 in Chester, Pennsylvania. Mr. Timmes is survived by his wife Dianne Devine Timmes of Donie and daughters Misty Powers and husband Geoff of Denton, Crystal Hill of Abilene, Casity Timmes of Viliata, Oklahoma and sons Roy Timmes IV of Houston and Samuel Timmes of Donie. He is also survived by his grandson Devin Scott Powers of Denton and father Roy Timmes, Jr. of Giddings; four sisters and brother-in-law Joe James Devine and wife Lucia of Donie. Mr. Timmes is preceded in death by his mother Joan Gonner Timmes. Casket bearers were Lanny Barnett, Danny Pruitt, Adam Esterling, Blake Childs and Donnie Turner. Arrangements were by Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
