WILLIAM H. “BILLY” TINSLEY

Mr. William H. Tinsley Jr., nicknamed “Billy,” was born June 4, 1968, in Teague, 
Texas, to William and Gloria Tinsley, Sr. He died on October 25, 2014 at his 
home in Blooming Grove, Texas, with his immediate family by his side.

William graduated from Teague High School in 1987, attended Navarro Junior 
College, entered the U.S. Navy in December of 1990 and served three years.

Mr. Tinsley was preceded in death by his grandfather Jessie Gibson and uncle 
Robert Porter. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Katie Tinsley of 
Blooming Grove; his sons Trey Tinsley of Bryan College Station, Joshua Tinsley 
of Corsicana, Texas, Jordan Tinsley and Eastern Tinsley both of Blooming Grove, 
Texas and his daughter, Emma of Blooming Grove. Also surviving Mr. Tinsley is 
his mother and father William and Gloria Tinsley of Teague, his brother Robert 
Tinsley and wife Courtney of Tyler, Texas, his sisters Joy Dotson and Amy 
Tinsley both of Houston, Texas. His great grandson Jayden Tinsley, his aunt 
Kathy Jones of Teague, his uncle Joe Porter of Teague also survive Mr. Tinsley.

Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home of Corsicana was in charge of the graveside 
services in Blooming Grove at the Rose Hill Cemetery on October 29, 2014.
