Mexia Daily News - May. 1, 2004 edition Jean Tisdale dies from wreck injuries Mrs. Jean Tisdale, 68, of Teague, died Friday afternoon in Mexia from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 84, four miles west of Teague. Mrs. Tisdale, who was the Office Manager of Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Teague, was pronounced dead in Parkview Regional Hospital. Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Ray Jones of Mexia, conducted the inquest at Parkview. Details were sketchy Saturday morning at presstime, but reports say Mrs. Tisdale had stopped alongside the roadway when she was rear-ended by a pickup truck about 5:30. Her husband is Al Tisdale of Teague. Funeral services for Mrs. Tisdale will be Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel-Teague. ----------------------------------------------------------- Mexia Daily News - May. 4, 2004 edition Jean (Nichols) Tisdale TEAGUE - Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Tisdale, 66, a lifelong resident of Teague, were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel-Teague. Officiating was the Rev. Darrel Beggs, pastor of First Baptist Church. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Tisdale died Friday in Parkview Regional Hospital-Mexia, and was born in Teague on June 10, 1937. She was Office Manager of the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home of Teague, and was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Tisdale was preceded in death by her parents, John Fred and Mary Ellen Bass Nichols. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, John Alfred (Al) Tisdale of Teague; two daughters, Kathy Pavlicek and husband Alex of Magnolia, and Debbie Kilgore of Montgomery; two grandchildren - Shawn Fryar and wife Cynthia, and Keith Kilgore; two great-grandchildren - Rachel Fryar and Kylie Kilgore; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Edna Nichols of Teague; and four sisters - Mary Clark of Dallas, Linda Huffman and husband James of Teague, Sue Nichols of Teague and Jennifer Parson and husband Bobby of Teague.
