Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder Al Tisdale Memorial services were held last week for Al Tisdale, 72, of Streetman who died Tuesday, May 13, in his residence. Mr. Tisdale was born in Streetman on Sept. 15, 1935. As a heavy equipment operator, he owned and operated Al's Dozer Service. Mr. Tisdale was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Cotton Gin Lodge No. 154 in Kirvin. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and listening to country music. Mr. Tisdale also played the guitar and fiddle and was invited to play at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville. Services were conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 16, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. His body was cremated. Mr. Tisdale is survived by daughters Kathy Fryar and Debbie Kilgore, both of Spring; grandson Keith Kilgore of Teague; great granddaughters Rachel Fryar and Kylie Kilgore, both of Spring; granddaughter-in-law Cynthia Fryar of Spring; sister Nell Winkler and husband Clayton of Killeen; sisters-in-law Mary Clark of Dallas, Linda Huffman and husband James, Sue Nichols, Jennifer Parson and husband Bobby, all of Teague; brother- in-law John Nichols and wife Edna of Teague; and aunts Edna White of Temple and Lela Graham of Wortham. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean Tisdale; grandson Shawn Fryar; mother Mary Tisdale; and father Granville Tisdale. Memorials may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. Arrangements were made by Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
