The Teague Chronicle - Oct. 25, 1918 edition Dr. Tubbs, a veterinary surgeon died Sat. night as the result of an attack of influenza followed by pneumonia. The doctor came here from his home at Rosebud and had been in the city only a few days. He brought some stock from the drouth (sic) strickened country and was practicing his profession and trade. His wife visited him during his illness at the home of Mr. Matthews, proprietor of the Matthews Livery Stable where he died. Interment was in the city cemetery Sun.
