DROWNED NEGROS BODY FOUND IN DRIFT LOGS
Saturday, the badly decomposed body of Jim TUCKER, negro, who drowned some
several days ago at Vaughaners Ferry when he rolled off the ferry into
the swollen river, was found in some drift logs about three miles below
the ferry. All that remained of this well known negro, who had worked at
this ferry for years, was buried near his home Monday.
